Goodbyes come so quickly.
Forward Phasers has come to it’s end. Why? Money problems? not really. No one buys anything? we’ve sold out of nearly everything we have ever made. Creative issues? No, we have designs that will never see the light of day, including collabs, (one with a very skilled artist named Kyle Mosher). Legal issues? No, we’re registered within SB county. We are talking with retailers, we have tradeshow invitations, we have definitively made these last 3 months, an interesting one. So why stop? Because, it was never my intention to keep this long term. It was a project. I found the lack of quality internships or jobs with clothing companies cutthroat. I decided to start a brand to teach myself what I was so eager to learn. I met people that I will forever be grateful to meet but also will be friends with them for life. I have learned skills so quick, the urge to adapt, the reality of a business and much more in these 3 months. I have learned to be aggressive from being pan handled in our first days, hell I learned more in these 3 months than what I have learned in college (so far). I have learned that the human soul has amazing fire to fight for anything. (Look at the crew at FP.. those guys are either hardly working or working hard.. but their effort or heart should never be questioned.) I think I never understood the true idea that is streetwear until now, (keep it street, or go commercial.) I’ve done 2 events. One at Riverside, one at the glasshouse in Pomona. Not selling One Tee. We just released beanies that practically sold out in 3 days. I just find it amazing how detailed every footprint is on the road of progression. I like to thank our members. Ques, a dope designer who will be set very soon. Jordan, dude tried hard and can do anything. Keese, set the direction of this company. Keoni, already established in my eyes, Marshall, future is bright and shouldn’t worry about his role in streetwear. Thank you to Michael Long as well, who was a big part of this brand. Thank you most importantly to Dalure aka Daizon, you created the title of this project and have supported me all the way, thanks. Me? I’ll probably move on after tubs of ice cream, tears and season 1 and 2 reruns of How to make it in America… (joking.. not really). I’ll probably release special projects in the future. it was crazy to see random people wearing this stuff and to know people have heard of us. Thank you all for supporting,
Namaste.
